I think the first thing Roger will say to Adam when they're back on the road is "So, tell me about your adventures" or "where have you been to in the past few months?"
I think Roger gave Bayard to Hugh for two reasons. Number 1) I don't think Roger had a use for Bayard anymore. Bayard also had a limp and didn't walk very well. Number 2) Earlier in the book, Hugh talks about how he understands Bayard and they seem to have a connection.
I don't really have just one favourite part, but several which were all based on the same thing. I liked the parts when random people were willing to assist Adam with his journey. Whether they were people who gave him bits of food or people who let him sleep at their house, something about these parts stood out.
The author said, "There were two men in the room, but he only saw one." Do you think Adam knew there was 2 men in the room, but really only noticed Roger because he was glad to see him? Or, do you think he really only saw Roger? Explain.
I think Adam would have only paid attention to Roger because he has been looking for him for along time so I think he would not care or notice if there were other people in the room.
The name of the last chapter was called 'Loud Sing Cuckoo". During one part in this chapter, it talks about how the cuckoo's call signified that spring was finally there. What significance do you think spring has during this last chapter? Explain.
1)What do you think Adam was thinkin when he got a letter from the King? 2)Did you think Adam and Roger and Nick are going to go and still live on the road and be minstrels?
1) I think that Adam was feeling very surprised and was probably thinking something along the lines of 'Wow! A letter from the king himself!'
2) I think that Adam, Roger and Nick will remain minstrels and continue travelling on the road. They also haven't seen each other for a long time and will probably want to spend time with each other.
1. What do you think Roger was thinking while they were brought together again? The book didn't really describe how he was feeling. They only focused on Adam. Was he proud? Speechless? Or was he just like, 'Wow, my son really grew up?'
2. Do you wish there was a different ending to this book? Maybe a better way to "find" Roger?

DeleteI think Roger would be asking how Adam got to finding Nick and he would tell his story of where he has been.
DeleteWhy do you think Rodger gave Bayard to Huge?

DeleteI think Roger gave Bayard to Huge because he wanted to be nice and he probably though he would not need Bayard as much as Hug does.

I think that Adam actually did see both men but was overjoyed to see Roger and only noticed him as a result.

DeleteOn the very last page, Roger says, "You have done well, son." What exactly do you think Roger means by this? Try to be specific.
ReplyDeleteProbably to be able to have found Nick and be back with Roger that makes Roger happy.
DeleteI think this means he is proud of his son. Also, I think this is one of the first times in the book that Roger has called Adam 'his son'.
DeleteThe name of the last chapter was called 'Loud Sing Cuckoo". During one part in this chapter, it talks about how the cuckoo's call signified that spring was finally there. What significance do you think spring has during this last chapter? Explain.
ReplyDeleteI think it just shows how long they were apart for and that they were back together by spring.

1. I think Adam was kind of nervous and was worried that he was in some sort of trouble.
Delete2. Yes, because it's there lifestyle that would be hard to give up. They love what they do and would not want to change it.
